{"id":245,"date":"2010-07-19T01:01:05","date_gmt":"2010-07-19T09:01:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tranzoa.net\/~alex\/blog\/?p=245"},"modified":"2010-07-19T01:01:05","modified_gmt":"2010-07-19T09:01:05","slug":"ants-have-eaten-my-house","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tranzoa.net\/~alex\/blog\/?p=245","title":{"rendered":"Ants have eaten my house"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Well, this is what you get when you don&#8217;t take care of business.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tranzoa.net\/alex\/pictures\/big\/ants_have_eaten_my_house_01.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tranzoa.net\/alex\/pictures\/ants_have_eaten_my_house_01.jpg\" alt=\"Ant farm in the beam\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Just a quick cleaning of that bad spot on the wall, I said to myself.<\/p>\n<p>The drywall gave way in a little spot and thousands of ants were very surprised.<\/p>\n<p>A couple of garbage bags and lots of shop-vac work with the old bag-less canister vacuum cleaner (I&#8217;m often glad I saved it.) and viola:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tranzoa.net\/alex\/pictures\/big\/ants_have_eaten_my_house_02.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tranzoa.net\/alex\/pictures\/ants_have_eaten_my_house_02.jpg\" alt=\"Time to go to work\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The kicker is that there&#8217;s a certain satisfaction in watching the little bugs desperately running around like Bond villain minions at the end of the movie. You can forget you&#8217;re destroying your own house and revel in just blowing things up.
